Time For A Field Trip!
Dear Students and Parents,
The center houses many fascinating things, such as interactive exhibits, life size models of wildlife endemic to Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, an immersive theater, and much, much more! So, in order to have a fun, yet engaging time, I ask that you follow these two steps first:
Step 1) I want you all to spend a few minutes browsing the site at the following link: Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (papahanaumokuakea.gov). This will let you know a little bit more about the center, and just what they have to offer! For example, did you know that they have a 3,500 saltwater gallon tank within the building? I sure didn't till now!
Step 2) Make sure that you have each of the items (unless specified as optional) with you that day:
a) a camera (or your own phone will do!)
b) an umbrella (in case it rains, optional)
c) a water bottle (hydration is important!)
d) your best behavior (we are representing our school, so please be respectful and kind!)
On March 12, 2024 (3/12/24) at 8:30 a.m., we will meet as a class in front of the school by the bus ramp. If you do not want to miss the bus, please do not be tardy and arrive on time by 8:00 a.m. We will leave the center around 10:00, and head for the gardens where we will have lunch. If we stay on schedule, we should return to the school by 2:00 p.m.
If there are any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and let me know! I am always here to help! I can't want to take this fun trip with you all!
Best wishes,
Ms. Grace
